The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 2 Suspension System for the 2003–2009 Toyota 4Runner and 2007–2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser is engineered to deliver increased wheel travel, improved damping control, and superior ride quality both on-road and off-road. Building on the Stage 1 platform, the Stage 2 system upgrades to extended-travel 2.5 Series coilovers, unlocking additional suspension travel for enhanced performance over rough terrain.
Because extended-travel coilovers require corrected front-end geometry, this system includes ICON tubular upper control arms equipped with the patented Delta Joint. This heavy-duty, high-angle ball joint combines the durability and weather resistance of a traditional ball joint with the articulation advantages of a uniball—without the exposure issues commonly associated with uniballs on daily-driven vehicles.
The system is completed with ICON rear coil springs and 2.0 Aluminum Series internal reservoir rear shocks, tuned specifically for these platforms to balance front and rear performance. The result is a refined, capable suspension package ideal for drivers seeking improved control, articulation, and long-term reliability.
