The Factor 55 1" Hawse Fairlead (Gun Metal Gray) is a premium aluminum fairlead engineered exclusively for synthetic winch rope applications. CNC-machined from 1-inch thick USA-made 6000-series aluminum bar, this fairlead exceeds the traditional 0.75-inch industry standard to significantly reduce rope stress and extend synthetic rope life—especially during high-angle and side pulls.
The increased thickness allows for a larger outer fillet radius, lowering fiber stress and heat buildup as the rope slides across the fairlead. Factor 55’s 1.0" and 1.5" fairleads are the first in the industry compatible with larger 1/2-inch rope tube thimbles, thanks to a taller rope slot opening and a machined outer chamfer designed to reduce abrasion during demanding winching scenarios, including front suspension “suck-down” use.
Finished in a MIL-A-8625F Type III hard anodized gun metal gray coating, this fairlead provides exceptional abrasion resistance and low friction—key to preserving synthetic rope under gritty, real-world recovery conditions.
