The Factor 55 FlatLink Winch Shackle Mount Assembly is a low-profile, folding shackle mount designed to replace conventional winch hooks with a safer, more secure recovery connection. As the industry’s first folding shackle mount, the FlatLink reduces bulk at the fairlead while eliminating hook rattle and minimizing potential fairlead damage.
With a folded thickness of less than 1.75 inches, the FlatLink is compatible with roller fairlead license plate mounting brackets and stows neatly against roller or hawse fairleads. The design uses a traditional 3/4" screw pin shackle, preventing strap loops from slipping free during slack cycles common in winching recoveries.
The FlatLink installs without rope splicing and works with steel winch cable or synthetic rope up to 3/8 inch diameter. A 5/8" Grade 5 steel double shear pin retains the rope or cable eye, while integrated EPDM rubber guards help protect alloy fairleads during stowage.
