The ARB Air Locker Differential for the heavy-duty Dana 60 axle is engineered to deliver 100% traction on demand for extreme off-road environments while maintaining smooth, predictable drivability on pavement. With the flip of a switch, the Air Locker instantly locks the differential, ensuring both axle shafts rotate together for maximum traction on technical rock crawls, deep mud, snow, sand, or uneven terrain.
Inside, a pneumatically activated locking mechanism prevents internal gears from differentiating when engaged, tying both wheels directly to the ring gear. Disengaged, it functions as a conventional open differential, reducing driveline wear and maintaining OEM handling characteristics.
Designed for serious off-road abuse, the Dana 60HD Air Locker features a reinforced two-piece construction with minimal moving parts, a patented timed locking mechanism for quick engagement/unlocking, and a steel-reinforced elastomer annular seal built to endure extreme temperature swings and harsh conditions.
